How to select materials for ribbon-type mixer

We can select the material of the ribbon-type mixer(ribbon blender) according to actual production needs.

Common materials of ribbon-type mixer

(1) Stainless steel: Stainless steel is the most commonly used material for ribbon mixers. It has good corrosion resistance and wear resistance. So it is suitable for mixing processing in most industries.

(2) Carbon steel: Ribbon mixers made of carbon steel have lower costs. So they are suitable for situations where equipment material requirements are not high. Such as some building materials, mining, and other industries.

(3) Plastic: We mainly use plastic ribbon mixers for mixing materials that are sensitive to metals, such as food, medicine, and other industries. Plastic materials have good corrosion resistance and wear resistance, but their strength and hardness are relatively low.

(4) Cast iron: The ribbon-type mixer made of cast iron has high strength and wear resistance, and is suitable for mixing and processing some heavy materials.

(5) Aluminum: The ribbon mixer made of aluminum is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, and is suitable for occasions that require the weight of the equipment, such as some food, chemicals, etc.

(6) Fiberglass: The ribbon mixer made of fiberglass has good corrosion resistance and aging resistance, and is suitable for mixing and processing some highly corrosive materials.

(7) Enamel: The ribbon mixer made of enamel has good corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and is suitable for some occasions that require high surface smoothness of the equipment. Such as food, medicine, and other industries.
