Double ribbon

Twin Ribbon Agitators are best for low-density, free flowing materials that are similar in size and shape. Due to this reason, double ribbons are an excellent choice for many powders. Double helical ribbons are advantageous in applications that require a lot of shear (work), such as salt or sugar. The inner and outer ribbons move ingredients in opposite directions from one end to the other. Meanwhile, the mixing action occurs by rolling the material back and forth. The double-ribbon agitator is a continuous spiral design with no gaps between the ribbon blades. The welding ribbons offer the same level of hygiene as the paddles, and while this may need more careful inspection, the design eliminates the possibility of material buildup.

Applications: powders, nutrition, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, pet food, beverage mixes, milk powder.

Mixing paddle/belt

Hybrids provide a higher level of agitation than paddles or ribbons alone. The dual reversing design combines the figure-of-eight motion of the paddle with the scrubbing action of a ribbon whisk. So we work best with blended types when the product contains a lot of texture or is bulky. This translates into more energy being transferred to the feedstock, even at the product level within the tank.

Applications: cappuccino, sugar or salt-based flavors.
