What is quartz sand?
People first obtain stone and then, through a process of crushing and processing it into quartz particles, make quartz sand, a kind of hard, wear – resistant and chemically stable silicate mineral. The color of quartz sand is milky white or colorless and translucent, with a hardness of 7, brittle and no cleavage, shell-like fracture greasy luster, a density of 2.65, and a bulk density of 1.6 (1-20 mesh) and 15 (20-200 mesh). In the production process of quartz sand, vibrating screening equipment is used to classify and screen quartz sand.
The common specifications of quartz sand vibrating screen are: 0.5-1mm, 1-2mm, 2-4mm,4-8mm, 8-16mm, 16-32mm, 10-20 mesh, 20-4 mesh, 40-80 mesh, 100-120 mesh. Generally, people widely use the three – layer vibrating screen with a diameter of 150 model in the quartz sand industry due to its large screening output and high efficiency.

Working principle of quartz sand vibrating screen.
The quartz sand grading vibrating screen is driven by a vertical vibration motor as the excitation source. The motor has eccentric heavy hammers at both ends. They convert the motor’s rotation into 3D horizontal, vertical, and inclined motions, then transfer these to the screen for screening. By adjusting the upper and lower phase angles, consequently, the material’s screen – surface trajectory changes. We/Manufacturers can customize special models for dry/wet, fine/coarse, heavy/light materials. It can screen from 0 – 40 mesh and filter liquid or paste materials from 0 – 600 mesh. The vibrating screen series comes with a special screen – cleaning device. As a result, it minimizes screen blockage and enhances screening rate and accuracy.
