How to use the ribbon mixer correctly?

1. For the production of additive premix, it should follow the method of step-by-step expansion from micro mixing to small mixing to medium mixing and then to large mixing. There is a correct order of adding materials. First, add a large proportion of ingredients or most of them to the machine. Then add a small amount of trace ingredients; among various materials, the components with large particle sizes are generally put into the mixer first, then add the ones with small particle sizes. When the specific gravity difference between materials is large, generally add the materials with small specific gravity first. Then add the materials with large specific gravity.

2. For the fixed container mixer, the ribbon mixer should be started first before feeding, to prevent the phenomenon of full load starting, and the machine must be unloaded before stopping; while the rotary container mixer should be fed first, then started, and then stopped first. After unloading, for the V-shaped ribbon mixer, when feeding, we should feed from two feeding ports.  We should take measures to minimize the impact of other factors on the mixing uniformity of the mixed materials. For example, we should immediately press the mixed materials into granules so that the components of the materials are fixed in the granules or directly packaged into bags. Also avoid or minimize the mixing, transportation, and dropping of materials. Additionally, reduce post-mixing loading and unloading; and minimize material falling, rolling, or sliding.

Regularly check the operating performance of the mixer

3. To ensure the mixing quality, we should check the operation performance of the mixer regularly. We should add lubricating oil to the joint of the bearing and movable shaft, and repair and replace the worn parts in time.  and we should correctly determine the mixing time according to the results of uniformity sampling. Frequently check the operation of each switch, clean up the sundries in the machine, and remove the residual materials around the door switch to make the door switch flexible.
